beautiful fall days...perfect for outings.

so we took juliet to see her first movie today. honestly it was the first public outing we've had since the dreadful outback situation, and that was what? a year ago? she was dying to see "the pumpkin king" a.k.a. "a nightmare before christmas" which is being shown in 3D (i thought at the IMAX but alas, open season is in the imax). she was really good, and i was so proud of her! she got bored towards the end, so i took her out and we walked around the theater looking at the poster for "charlotte's web" and we met another mom and a little boy named julian and the two of them played for awhile. the movie was kind of beautiful, cuz anbc is a stunning movie which was only made better w/the 3D. however. the movie was NOT originally a 3D movie, so it wasn't that cool and 3D like it could have been. and it didn't even fit the screen. and no previews. kind of disappointing, but we did see a cool pixar 3D short and that was amazing.

so last night was jen's surprise 30th birthday party and there was a super special surprise guest... joebags came home from costa rica early to celebrate! it was great to see him and it was such a wonderful echo station reunion. the boys are starting what in the theater is known as "hell week" (which for the boys of echo station will not one but two weeks of intense and grueling practice)and it all begins at 3 o'clock today! i got even more excited about friday night (halloween show) after talking about costumes last night. i actually decided to start anew w/my costume, after the movie today...it's a surprise for now. i know, like who cares? a little girl in my class wouldn't tell me what she was being cuz its a surprise. but i was like, just tell me i'm not going to be here on halloween. so she told me. but anyway.
